Terms of use

These terms apply when you use flexcodes.co.uk. By using the site you agree to them.

Who we are

Flex Codes UK is a trading name of Canol Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17434461). Its registered office is 155, Parc Bryn Derwen, Llanharan, Pontyclun CF72 9TX.

You can contact us at hello@canol.co.uk.

What Flex Codes UK offers

Flex Codes UK offers a free tool for describing flexible working. People create a personal flex code showing the minimum flexibility they need from a job. Employers create a role flex code showing what a role could accommodate. No account is needed. How it works explains more.

A guide, not advice

  • A code and a comparison are a starting point for a conversation. They are not legal, HR or employment advice.
  • A flex code is not a flexible working request and is not part of any statutory process.
  • A match is not a job offer, and it does not oblige an employer to agree any arrangement. A shortfall does not mean a role is impossible.
  • The advert check reads the wording of an advert automatically and can miss or misread things. Always confirm the arrangements with the employer.

Using the site fairly

  • If you describe a role, only state what the role can genuinely sustain.
  • You decide what to share and who to share it with. Only add someone else’s name to a profile if they agree.
  • Do not try to disrupt the site, get around its limits, or use it to mislead anyone.

Using codes, badges and documents

You are welcome to use and share the codes, profiles, role statements, advert wording and badges you create here, including in job adverts and on your own website.

Please do not alter the badges, and do not suggest that Canol Ltd has checked or endorsed a role, a person or an organisation.

Ownership

Flex codes, including their questions, levels and codes, and this site and its content are owned by Canol Ltd. All rights reserved. Apart from the uses described above, you may not copy the questions, levels or codes, or build a product or service on them, without our written permission.

Our responsibility to you

We provide the site free of charge and as it is. We aim to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it always will be, and we may change, suspend or withdraw it at any time.

As far as the law allows, Canol Ltd is not liable for losses that result from relying on a code, a comparison or anything else on the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Privacy

The Privacy page sets out how the site handles information.
